Overall Reflection Statement
For my competence in servant leadership, I am submitting artifacts from my Chaplaincy Internship that have enabled me to demonstrate my ministry of presence to those lonely and hurting in hospital beds.  My job was to visit with patients that requested a Chaplain visit, ask and assess their comfort and satisfaction with their hospital stay, their emotional state, and then bridge over to their spiritual state and offer comfort, hope, and prayer. I will be adding artifacts from my internship experience.

Learning Reflection

As the statue at Dallas Seminary illustrates, washing the feet of others takes humility and a mindset of putting yourself on the back burner.  This has to be intentional and practiced since the self does not take a back seat easily.  The more this is done in a heart posture, I have found God moving more and using me more as I get myself out of the way.

Lifelong Development Statement

Coming along to serve others, to enter a room with a "there you are" mentality and not "here I am" mentality is challenging and extremely rewarding and a necessity to truly serve and impact others for the Kingdom a discipline and journey I am committed to not only go on but to continually look for ways to improve and avenues to practice at work, at church, and in my home.
